VIRUS / MALWARE CHECK

The warning keeps coming back. What needs fixing?

A warning returns after every restart. Searches go to the wrong website. Or someone persuaded you to give them access. Tell Bryan what happened. We check whether the problem is a misleading notification, unwanted software, or something that needs further investigation, then explain the next step.

You initiate the session, approve the connection, watch every click, and can end it at any time.

Diagnosis is free. A successful remote cleanup is $99 flat anywhere in Missouri. Not fixed, no charge.

Work with Bryan Leasure. 30 years in IT. Based in Columbia, serving Missouri.

VIRUS / MALWARE CHECKHOW WE CHECK
The check follows the symptom through cleanup and account safety—not just the first warning.

What appeared, and did anyone connect?

Describe the pop-up, redirect, call, download, or remote session and what happened next. Bryan can begin with that story even when you do not know the program’s name.

Pop-ups keep coming back
Warnings, advertisements, or notification boxes return after you close the browser or restart.
Search goes somewhere else
The homepage, search engine, or browser extension changed and refuses to stay changed back.
A scanner found something
You have a virus or malware name but no clear answer about whether it is gone or what it reached.
Someone was inside the computer
A caller or pop-up persuaded you to install remote software, share a code, or sign in while they watched.
You do not trust the machine
Several cleanup tools have run, but you still do not know whether email, passwords, files, or backups are safe.

Check the cause. Remove what should not be there.

The practical job is not simply running another scanner. It is identifying what changed, removing what should not be there, and deciding which accounts need action next.

  1. CHECK 1

    Confirm what is real

We distinguish browser notifications and scareware from an actual infection before turning a frightening message into a bigger job.

  2. CHECK 2

    Remove the unwanted software

Malware, browser hijackers, suspicious extensions, remote-access tools, and persistence points are removed from the computer.

  3. CHECK 3

    Check what may be exposed

We review what happened and identify the accounts, passwords, payment steps, or files that deserve follow-up.

  4. CHECK 4

    Leave a safer machine

Updates, browser settings, security tools, and the practical next actions are checked before the session ends.

Cleanup without false certainty.

A cleanup can remove unwanted software and close known access. Banks, card companies, email providers, and security specialists still control financial disputes, account recovery, and larger business incidents.

Not sure whether the warning is real? The scam check is free

Problems we can help with

  • Malware and unwanted software
  • Browser hijackers and forced extensions
  • Fake warnings and notification pop-ups
  • Suspicious remote-access programs
  • Account-security steps after a scam

When the plan changes

  • Ransom payments are never promised or negotiated
  • Banks and card companies control financial disputes
  • Email providers control final account recovery
  • A severely compromised machine may need a clean reinstall
  • Some business incidents require a security-response specialist

Start with what stopped working.

Tell Bryan what you were trying to do, what happened instead, and what you already tried. The first conversation is free. He will explain the next step and whether the work needs remote access or a visit.

Before paid work begins, you know what is being attempted and the price. You approve the work and any required access.

Questions before you call

Can virus and malware removal be done remotely?
Often, yes. You start the approved support session while talking with BrainRoad, watch every click, and can disconnect at any time. If the machine cannot safely get online or needs to remain off, BrainRoad will recommend drop-off instead.
What should I do if a pop-up says I have a virus?
Do not call the number in the pop-up, install anything it recommends, or provide a password. Close the browser if you can. If someone may already have connected, turn the computer off and call BrainRoad for a free scam check.
Does cleanup include hacked accounts?
BrainRoad can help identify and secure affected email and online accounts, but each provider controls its own recovery process. Banks, card companies, and law enforcement may also need to be contacted depending on what happened.
How much does malware removal cost?
The diagnosis is free. A successful remote cleanup is $99 flat. You approve the price before paid work begins, and if the problem is not fixed, you do not pay.
Can you guarantee every file or password is safe?
A scan alone cannot prove that every file or password is safe. BrainRoad explains what was found, what it could reach, what was changed, and which accounts or backups still need separate attention.

Unsure what got in? Start with the story.

Call and explain what appeared, what you clicked, and whether anyone connected. The diagnosis is free, a successful remote cleanup is $99, and a scam check costs nothing.
